Professional Career:

Before joining UNGRIA's office in Madrid, he worked as a medical writer in the medical communications industry in New York. In this role he applied his extensive scientific background to provide medical, strategic and tactical commercial insight to clients.

He is a graduate of the University of Salamanca (Spain) and the Autonomous University of Madrid (Spain), with a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology. Over the course of his scientific career he has developed expertise in several areas of medicine, including cancer immunology, cellular immunology, cancer immunotherapy, and DNA therapy.

After obtaining his Ph.D., he worked as a research scientist at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) where his research focused on the manner in which miRNA genes regulate tumor progression and apoptosis. During his eight years at MSKCC, he authored eleven published papers, five of which were first authored.
